The Joy of Fall Portraits: Why This Season Is Made for Memories

There’s just something magical about fall—the crisp air, the golden light, the vibrant tree foliage bursting in reds, oranges, and yellows. It's the season of cozy sweaters, pumpkin patches, and warm drinks... and let’s be real, the countdown to Christmas (and family time!) officially begins. Don't worry, I haven't brought out my pumpkin decorations yet or started baking pumpkin goodies, but I promise you, they are coming soon! I am a "pumpkins on September 1st" kind of girl!

I firmly believe fall is one of the best times of year, and especially for family portraits. Whether you're updating family photos, documenting the kids as they grow, or capturing moments for your holiday cards, fall gives us the most dreamy backdrop nature has to offer.

I cannot believe that I have been a photographer for 10 years, and looking back on those years, Fall Mini Sessions are hands down my favorite! Even as I moved to Kentucky four years ago, my Colorado clients still book sessions with me year after year, and it absolutely warms my heart!
